IVAN DA Siberi puer INGVER-SIDRUN 96 g is a caffeine-free herbal tea brick made with fermented fireweed tea, ginger, lemon and fireweed flowers. People usually choose this kind of drink when they want a deeper, more rounded tea experience than a simple herbal infusion, but without the stimulating effect of black tea or coffee. The taste is warming, lightly spicy and fresh, with the fermented fireweed base giving the cup a fuller, darker character.
The name “Siberian puer” refers to the style rather than classic pu-erh tea from Camellia sinensis. Here, the base is fermented fireweed, also known as Ivan tea. Fermentation changes the aroma profile of the leaves: the sharp grassy notes become softer, richer and slightly fruity, which makes the drink feel more mature and layered. Ginger adds a warming edge and a lively, pungent note, while lemon brings brightness and a cleaner finish. Fireweed flowers round out the blend with a gentler floral nuance.
Fireweed has a long tradition of use in Northern and Eastern European herbal tea culture. It is valued not for caffeine, but for its pleasant, balanced character and for the way it fits easily into different parts of the day. This blend can suit someone who wants a hot drink in the evening, a coffee-free option at work, or a soothing cup in cold weather. Because the tea brick can be infused more than once, the flavour may open gradually: the first brew is often denser, while later infusions become softer and more aromatic.
This herbal beverage is a good fit for those who enjoy fermented teas, ginger drinks, or lemon herbal blends and want something more structured than a loose fruit tea. If you are sensitive to pungent spices or citrus ingredients, start with a lighter infusion and see how the flavour feels for you.
