Due to the presence of cynarin, the artichoke lowers cholesterol, has a choleretic and diuretic effect. Phenolic acids activate the formation of bile, increase the amount of urea that is excreted from the body, regulate the function of the thyroid gland.
Recommended for liver diseases, diabetes, atherosclerosis, cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, kidney and heart failure, chronic nephritis, rheumatism, as well as allergic conditions, eczema, psoriasis. A decoction of the receptacles of unopened inflorescences is useful for constipation.
Method of preparation and use: pour 1.5 teaspoons of chopped artichoke herb with a glass of boiling water, cover and leave for 5 minutes. Take half a glass 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals.
Contraindications: Individual intolerance to the components. It is not a medicinal product. Before use, consult your doctor.

According to the label, artichoke tea is drunk 30 minutes before meals — half a glass 3 times a day; it is particularly valued with a fatty or heavy diet. This is the context in which it is traditionally used in European herbal medicine: the cynarin and phenolic compounds it contains are involved in metabolic processes related to the digestion of fats.
LEKRASET Artišokk is a food product, not a medicine; however, artichoke is one of the plants that stimulate the production and release of bile. This means that in certain conditions drinking it is undesirable without consulting a doctor.
Most herbal teas ‘for digestion’ contain blends of several plants — mint, fennel, chamomile, ginger and others. Their action is aimed primarily at relieving cramps, bloating or intestinal discomfort.
