LEKRASET Liivatee ürt 40 g
LEKRASET Liivatee ürt 40 g is loose creeping thyme herb from Lecraset, intended for herbal tea, infusions, and simple external use. People usually choose thyme when they want an aromatic herb with a long tradition in home herbal practice. Its scent comes from essential oils naturally present in the plant, while flavonoids and tannins add to its characteristic herbal profile.
Key components
In plain language, thyme works through a combination of plant compounds:
- Essential oils give the herb its warm, spicy aroma and are the reason thyme is so often used in hot infusions.
- Flavonoids are antioxidant plant substances.
- Tannins give the brew a slightly astringent note.
Together, these components make creeping thyme a classic choice for those who enjoy herbal teas with a rich taste and a traditional place in seasonal regimens.
Why people choose it
What makes this product appealing is its simplicity: 100% crushed thyme herb (Thymus serpyllum L.) with no added ingredients. This is not an extract or capsule, but a traditional herbal raw material, so you can prepare it in different ways depending on preference. It suits people who like to:
- Make their own tea.
- Combine herbs in custom blends.
- Use the infusion externally for rinses, baths, or compresses.
Loose herb is also convenient for those who prefer a stronger or milder brew by adjusting the amount used.
Tradition and important notes
Creeping thyme has been valued in European herbal tradition for generations as a fragrant household herb. LEKRASET Liivatee ürt can fit well into a calm tea ritual during colder, damp seasons, or as part of a herbal cabinet for occasional home use. If you are sensitive to aromatic plants, pregnant, breastfeeding, giving herbs to a child, or planning longer use, it is sensible to ask a qualified specialist before taking it.

Customer Questions
To make a cup of thyme tea, use about 1 to 2 teaspoons of the loose herb (roughly 2–3 grams) per 250 ml of hot water. Place the herb in a cup or teapot, pour boiling water over it, and let it steep for 5 to 10 minutes. The longer you steep, the stronger and more astringent the brew becomes, because the tannins are released over time. Strain before drinking.
This thyme herb is suitable for simple external use, such as rinses, baths, or compresses. To make an external infusion, use a higher concentration than for tea: about 2 to 3 tablespoons of the herb per liter of boiling water. Pour the water over the herb, cover, and let it steep for 15 to 20 minutes. Then strain the liquid and let it cool to a comfortable temperature.
To preserve the aromatic essential oils and prevent the herb from losing its flavor, store it in an airtight container, such as a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid. Keep the container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat sources like the stove or radiator, and moisture. A kitchen cabinet or pantry shelf is usually a good spot.
