Di&Di "Eat Healthy" Flaxseed Oil with Amaranth is a cold-pressed edible flaxseed oil (Linum usitatissimum) enriched with amaranth seed oil (Amaranthus sp.) in a 250 ml bottle. Cold-pressed flaxseed oil has one of the most favourable fatty acid profiles of any edible plant oil: it is exceptionally rich in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA, omega-3), which constitutes approximately 55–60% of total fatty acids, with oleic acid (omega-9, approx. 18%), linoleic acid (LA, omega-6, approx. 15%), and other polyunsaturated fatty acids making up the remainder.
Alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) is an essential fatty acid — the body cannot synthesise it and it must be obtained from diet. The EU has authorised the health claim that ALA contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels (EU Regulation 432/2012), provided the product supplies at least 2 g of ALA per daily serving. The addition of amaranth seed oil further enriches the product with squalene and tocotrienols, natural compounds with antioxidant properties. Flaxseed oil is best consumed without heat — used directly as a salad dressing, added to smoothies, or mixed into yoghurt or porridge.

Di&Di Eat Healthy Flaxseed Oil with Amaranth is a cold-pressed edible oil blend chosen mainly for its fatty acid profile. Flaxseed oil is one of the richest plant sources of alpha-linolenic acid, or ALA — an essential omega-3 fat that the body cannot make on its own and must get from food. People often add this type of oil to meals when they want more plant omega-3 in salads, smoothies, yoghurt or porridge, without using fish-based products.
The main value of this flaxseed oil lies in its naturally high ALA content, around 55–60% of total fatty acids. ALA becomes part of cell membranes and helps keep them flexible. It also has an authorised EU health claim: ALA contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels when consumed in sufficient amount. Alongside omega-3, flaxseed oil also provides smaller amounts of omega-6 and omega-9, giving the blend a broad spectrum of unsaturated fats.
Amaranth seed oil adds another interesting aspect to the composition. It naturally contains squalene and tocotrienols. Squalene is a lipid-like compound found in the body and in some plant oils, while tocotrienols belong to the vitamin E family and act as antioxidants, helping protect oils and body tissues from oxidative stress. This does not turn the product into a medicine, but it does make the blend more nutritionally nuanced than plain flax oil alone.
This food oil suits people who want to enrich cold meals with valuable fats in a simple way — for example, as part of a balanced menu with grains, vegetables, seeds and fermented foods. Because flaxseed oil is delicate, it is not suitable for frying or baking: heat can damage its polyunsaturated fats and change the taste. Use it only cold, and keep the bottle refrigerated after opening so the oil stays fresh. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking blood-thinning medication, or planning major diet changes, it is sensible to ask a healthcare professional whether this product fits your menu.
