VITATEKA Fireweed Tea with Sea Buckthorn 100g is a traditional herbal tea blend that pairs the celebrated fermented fireweed leaf tea base with two further wild botanical co-ingredients: sea buckthorn berries (Hippophaë rhamnoides) and calendula flowers (Calendula officinalis) — both wild-harvested in the pristine Krasnoyarsk region forests of Siberia (Emelyanovskoje forest). Fireweed (Epilobium angustifolium L., ivan-chai) provides the characteristically warm, honey-floral, deeply comforting base of the blend. Sea buckthorn (Hippophaë rhamnoides) is one of Siberia's most celebrated wild berries, with an exceptional natural richness in vitamin C, vitamin E, carotenoids and omega-7 fatty acids — recognised throughout Northern and Eastern European tradition as a powerfully nutritious berry. Its tart, vivid, pleasantly intense berry-citrus flavour adds a delightful sour-sweet freshness that perfectly lifts and brightens the mellow fireweed base. Calendula petals bring a subtle honey-herb golden warmth that rounds out the blend beautifully. Together they create a deeply warming, richly complex, naturally vibrant wild Siberian berry-herbal tea. Naturally caffeine-free. 100 g.

VITATEKA Fireweed Tea with Sea Buckthorn 100 g is a caffeine-free herbal tea blend built around fermented fireweed, also known as ivan-chai. People usually choose this type of tea when they want a warm, full-bodied cup without the stimulating effect of black tea or coffee. The fermented fireweed leaf gives the infusion a rounded, mellow taste with light honey-floral notes, while sea buckthorn adds a bright berry-citrus edge and calendula softens the blend with gentle herbal warmth.
What makes this tea interesting is the way the plants complement each other. Fermented fireweed is valued not only for flavour, but also because fermentation changes the character of the leaf: the taste becomes deeper, smoother and less grassy than in a simple dried herb infusion. Sea buckthorn is a traditional Northern berry known for its naturally occurring vitamin C, vitamin E and carotenoids — plant pigments that give berries their rich orange colour. In a tea blend, sea buckthorn contributes both vivid aroma and a more lively, tangy profile. Calendula is included in a smaller role, helping round out the sharper berry notes and giving the cup a softer finish.
This style of herbal drink has a strong place in Eastern European tradition, especially in regions where fireweed and wild berries have long been gathered for household teas. It can fit well into an evening cup, a quiet break at work, or a colder-season menu when you want something fragrant and warming but not heavy. If you enjoy herbal infusions, berry teas, or alternatives to classic tea and coffee, this blend offers a more layered taste than plain fireweed on its own.
Because this is a botanical blend, the character of the infusion depends on steeping time: a shorter brew keeps it lighter and brighter, while a longer one brings out more depth from the fermented leaves. If you are sensitive to plants from the Asteraceae family, note that calendula belongs to this group, so it is wise to use caution.
