Adamov (Bryonia) Root, Comfrey and Marsh Cinquefoil Cream-Balsam is a cosmetic body cream-balsam from the KorolevFarm Adamov range, formulated with a 10-component natural botanical complex built around three principal actives: Bryonia alba (Adam's root, white bryony) root extract, comfrey (Symphytum officinale) root and leaf extract, and marsh cinquefoil (Comarum palustre) extract. Bryonia alba (Adamov koren) is a climbing vine of the Cucurbitaceae family whose root extract has been used in traditional Eastern European topical preparations for many centuries, valued for its warming counter-irritant properties. Comfrey root and leaf extract provides allantoin, mucilage polysaccharides and rosmarinic acid, classic constituents of topical botanical skin care preparations in the European tradition. Marsh cinquefoil (comarum) provides the third key botanical. These three actives are supported by a seven-component botanical complement for a comprehensive warming and skin-conditioning cosmetic formula.

Contains comfrey (pyrrolizidine alkaloids) and Bryonia alba (toxic if ingested).

Customer Questions
Is this cream a medicine, and what is it actually for?
This is a cosmetic cream-balsam for external use, not a medicine. It is intended to be massaged into areas of the body that feel overworked, stiff or tense — typically the back, knees and shoulders — after long sitting, physical effort or during seasonal discomfort. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease. What it actually offers is a botanical base for massage: a warming local sensation from white bryony, skin-softening and conditioning components from comfrey, and a texture with enough slip for circular massage movements. Many people use this kind of product as a supporting element of self-care, because the combination of the massage itself and the warming feeling can make a tired area feel more comfortable and looser. It may suit people who spend many hours at a desk, train regularly or do physical work and want a topical herbal cream at the end of the day. If discomfort in a joint or the back is persistent, severe or getting worse, a cream of this type is not a solution — that situation calls for a consultation with a doctor.
Which plant extracts are in the formula and what do they do?
The formula is built around a complex of ten plants, with three extracts playing the leading roles:Bryonia alba root (white bryony) — a traditional warming, counter-irritant botanical. On the skin it creates a noticeable local sensation of warmth, which is why the area being massaged can feel looser and more relaxed during application.Comfrey extract — a classic European plant whose extract contains allantoin, mucilage polysaccharides and rosmarinic acid. In cosmetics these components are valued for softening and conditioning the skin, which matters when a product is applied with repeated massage strokes.Marsh cinquefoil extract — a herb traditionally added to balms made for active people and for use after physical strain.Together with the rest of the plant complex, these extracts form a massage-friendly base: the cream spreads easily and gives enough glide for circular movements without dragging the skin. Keep in mind that a counter-irritant warming effect is felt on the skin surface — if your skin is reactive, try the cream first on a small area to see how strong the sensation is for you.
How do I apply the cream and when does it fit best into the day?
Apply the cream to clean, unbroken skin over the area that feels stiff or overworked — for example the lower back, knees or shoulders — and work it in with slow circular movements for a few minutes. The texture is designed to give enough slip for this kind of short self-massage, so there is no need to press hard; moderate, comfortable pressure is enough. The most natural moment for it is the evening body routine or shortly before rest, when there is time for an unhurried massage and no need to dress immediately afterwards — this also lets the warming sensation develop calmly. After a workout or a day of physical work, it can be applied once the skin is clean and dry.A few practical points: wash your hands after application so the warming extracts do not end up in your eyes or on mucous membranes; let the cream absorb before covering the area with tight clothing; and do not layer it on the same spot with other warming products at the same time, as the sensations add up. The product is for external use only.
Are there precautions — sensitive skin, long-term use, pregnancy?
The product is for external use only and should not be applied to broken skin. Also avoid prolonged continuous use on the same area: it is better to use it with pauses, or to alternate the zones you massage, rather than applying it to one spot day after day for weeks.Because white bryony gives a deliberate warming, counter-irritant sensation, people with very sensitive or reactive skin should be careful: apply a small amount to a limited patch of skin first and wait to see how it responds before using it on a larger area. If strong redness, burning or itching appears, wash the product off and discontinue use.If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have very sensitive skin, or plan to use the cream for an extended period, ask a doctor or pharmacist for advice first. Store the closed product at room temperature away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children — the typical conditions for cosmetic creams.
