Unlike conventional permanent oxidative hair dyes (which use p-phenylenediamine (PPD), hydrogen peroxide and other synthetic chemicals), Bio Vital 100% Natural uses only natural plant-derived pigments and conditioning herbs — primarily henna (Lawsonia inermis) with additional botanical herbs selected for their colouring, conditioning and strengthening properties. Henna (Lawsonia inermis) is the primary plant dye; its principal active colorant is lawsone (2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone), which binds irreversibly to the keratin protein of the hair shaft through a covalent Michael addition reaction with the terminal amine and thiol groups of keratin. Henna produces a natural reddish-orange to golden-blonde tonal range depending on the starting hair colour; for lighter shades such as Light Blonde (5), the formula is adjusted with botanical additives to achieve a lighter, more golden-blonde result. All ingredients are naturally sourced and have been carefully selected for optimal colouring results. Contains 3 sachets × 20 g (total 60 g) to provide sufficient quantity for medium-length hair.
