Because this is a botanical colour that deposits pigment without bleaching, the final shade is always a blend of the herbal mix and your own hair’s base tone. On naturally light blonde to medium blonde hair, the golden-blonde nuances will be most visible, adding warmth and a glossy, slightly thicker-looking finish. On dark blonde or light brown hair, you will see a subtle golden sheen and a shift toward warmer tones, but the overall depth will not change dramatically. On medium to dark brown hair, the effect is usually a barely-there warm glint in sunlight rather than an obvious colour change.

Hair porosity plays a big role. Porous strands — whether from previous bleaching, heat styling, or sun exposure — absorb more lawsone and can take up a stronger, sometimes slightly coppery tone at first.
