Indian Henna Brown is a natural hair colouring powder made from henna leaf powder (Lawsonia inermis) blended with a carefully selected mix of Ayurvedic herbs. Free from ammonia, peroxide and synthetic dyes, it imparts warm brown tones while conditioning the hair shaft — leaving hair with added body and shine. Elfarm Herbalshop, the Latvian manufacturer, sources the raw plant material directly from India.
Since henna wraps around the hair shaft rather than penetrating it chemically, the colour gradually fades over successive washes, avoiding the sharp re-growth line typical of conventional dyes. Not suitable for use over bleached or chemically lightened hair without prior strand testing.

Elfarm INDIAN HENNA Juuksehenna Pruun 100 g is a plant-based hair colouring powder for those who want a warmer brown tone without ammonia, peroxide or synthetic dyes. People often choose henna when they want colour with a softer grow-out line and a more conditioned feel after colouring. Instead of changing the hair structure through an oxidative process, henna works mainly on the surface of the strand, which is why the shade usually fades more gradually with washing.
The key ingredient is Lawsonia inermis, or henna leaf powder. Its natural pigment binds to the outer layer of the hair shaft and forms a light coating around it. This can make hair look smoother, fuller and shinier because the cuticle feels more even and the strands reflect light better. In a brown henna blend, Ayurvedic herbs are typically added to deepen the tone and make the final result less coppery than pure red henna. This makes the product suitable for people who like herbal hair dye but prefer a more muted, earthy shade.
Henna has a long history of use in South Asian and Middle Eastern beauty traditions, where it has been valued not only for colour, but also for the denser feel it can give to hair lengths. This type of herbal colour is often chosen by people whose hair feels flat, looks dull, or who want to refresh their shade between conventional salon services. It can fit well into a beauty regimen for those moving away from frequent chemical colouring or looking for a plant-based option for visible shine and body.
Because herbal colour interacts with the starting hair colour, porosity and previous treatments, the final result is never as predictable as standard dye. On grey hair it may appear brighter or warmer, and on very dark hair the change may be subtle. If hair has been bleached, highlighted or chemically lightened, proceed with extra caution and always do a strand test first. A patch test is also important before first use, especially for sensitive skin or if you are prone to reactions from hair colour products.
