Victoria Beauty Tinting Shampoo in shade Platinum (V63) is a semi-permanent cosmetic hair colourant in shampoo format from the Victoria Beauty range by Rubella Beauty (Bulgaria), delivering a cool ash-platinum silver tone that neutralises unwanted yellow and warm brassy tones in blonde and white/grey hair. The direct dye formula deposits ash-violet toning pigments onto the outer hair cuticle surface without requiring a peroxide developer, providing a semi-permanent toning effect. On light blonde or grey/white hair, the platinum shade provides a true platinum or silver colour result; on medium blonde hair, it provides a cool ash-blonde toning effect. Grey hair coverage is excellent. The formula contains aloe vera extract for shine and conditioning, and a UV filter to protect the toned colour from fading. Shade Platinum (V63): a cool, bright ash-silver/platinum — the definitive shade for bright silver, platinum-blonde or ash-toned results. 40 ml tube.

⚠ Semi-permanent direct dye — may stain scalp, skin and clothing. Patch test before first use. Keep eyes closed during application.

Customer Questions
How do I use this toning shampoo for the best result, and how often should I apply it?
Wet your hair thoroughly, then apply the shampoo evenly from roots to ends. Because the pigments are direct dyes that sit on the hair surface, they need a few minutes to deposit: leave the product on for 3–5 minutes before rinsing. For a stronger cool tone, you can extend the time to 5–7 minutes, but start conservatively — especially if your hair is very porous or heavily lightened, as it will grab pigment faster and may turn overly violet or grey.Rinse until the water runs clear. Follow with your regular conditioner or a hydrating mask, since toning shampoos can feel slightly drying on already fragile blonde lengths. Frequency depends on your starting shade and how quickly yellow tones reappear: most people use it once a week for maintenance, or twice a week if brassiness returns quickly. On off days, use a gentle, sulphate-free shampoo to avoid stripping the deposited tone.Wear gloves to avoid staining your hands, and wipe any splashes off skin, tiles, or towels immediately — the ash-violet pigment can mark porous surfaces. A patch test behind the ear 24 hours before first use is recommended, even if you have used similar products before.
Will this shampoo work on my current hair colour — dark blonde, highlighted, or natural grey?
The ash-violet pigments are designed to neutralise yellow undertones, so the visible result depends entirely on how much yellow is present and how light your base is. On level 9–10 blonde, white, or natural grey hair, the effect reads as a clear silver-platinum or cool grey. On medium blonde (level 7–8) the same pigments produce a softer, ashier tone — you will see less brassiness, but not a true platinum finish. On dark blonde or light brown (level 6 and below) the change is minimal because there isn't enough lightness for the cool pigment to show through. If you have highlights or balayage, only the lightened strands will pick up the tone; the darker base will stay largely unchanged, which can actually create a nice contrast. Very porous or over-processed hair absorbs pigment more aggressively — do a strand test on a hidden section first, and reduce the leave-on time to 1–2 minutes if the tone looks too intense. This product does not lighten hair. If your goal is to go from yellow-blonde to platinum, you need a lightener/toner service first; this shampoo only maintains or refreshes an already light base.
How long does the toning effect last, and what makes it fade faster?
Because the pigments are direct dyes without peroxide, they sit on the cuticle and rinse away incrementally. Most people notice the cool tone holding well for 4–6 washes, then gradually warming up again over the next few. The included UV filter helps slow sun-induced fading, but prolonged UV exposure (beach, outdoor sports) will still break down the pigment faster.Habits that strip the tone quicker: washing daily, using hot water, clarifying or deep-cleansing shampoos, swimming in chlorinated or salt water, and heat styling without protection. To extend the result, wash with lukewarm water, use a sulphate-free shampoo on non-toning days, and apply a leave-in conditioner with UV protection before sun exposure. A quick re-application of the toning shampoo once a week is usually enough to keep brassiness at bay.If you need to remove the tone entirely — for example, before a salon colour appointment — a clarifying shampoo used 2–3 times over a few days will lift most of the deposited pigment.
Can this shampoo stain my shower, towels, or pillowcase, and how do I prevent it?
The ash-violet direct dye is highly concentrated to counteract yellow on very light hair, which means it transfers easily while wet. During application, any splashes on tile, grout, acrylic, or stone should be wiped off at once with a bathroom cleaner; once dried, the pigment can be difficult to remove. Rinse the shower tray or bath thoroughly after you finish rinsing your hair.Use an old dark towel or a dedicated microfibre hair wrap to blot excess water — light-coloured towels will show violet stains that may not come out in a normal wash. Avoid leaning your wet head against light-coloured pillowcases, upholstery, or clothing until the hair is completely dry. If a stain does occur on fabric, pre-treat with a stain remover or oxygen-based bleach before laundering; do not use chlorine bleach, as it can react with the dye and set the stain.Wearing gloves during application prevents stained fingernails and cuticles. If you do get pigment on skin, wash with soap and warm water immediately; a gentle exfoliating scrub or a little micellar water on a cotton pad usually removes residual colour.

What it is

Victoria Beauty Tinting Shampoo Platinum V63 is a semi-permanent toning shampoo for blonde, white and grey hair when the goal is a cooler, cleaner-looking shade. People usually choose this type of product when light hair starts to look yellow or brassy, or when they want a more silver, ash-blonde or platinum result without using permanent colour.

How it works

The formula works through direct pigments that sit on the outer layer of the hair rather than changing the hair structure with a peroxide developer. In plain terms, the ash-violet tone helps visually counter warm yellow notes, because cool violet-based colour balances unwanted brassiness. On very light blonde, white or grey hair, the result can look distinctly platinum or silver; on medium blonde hair, it usually gives a softer cool ash effect. This shampoo format is also practical for people who prefer toning and washing in one step.

Key components

What makes this version more convenient is the combination of colour-depositing pigments with cosmetic conditioning ingredients:

  • Direct toning pigments – deposit ash-violet colour to counter warm, yellow notes.
  • Aloe vera – included to help the hair feel smoother and look shinier after rinsing, which matters because toned blonde and grey lengths can easily seem dull.
  • UV filter – added to help the shade stay fresher for longer, since sunlight can make cool-toned colour fade and reveal warmer undertones again.

The effect is temporary, so the colour gradually washes out over several shampoos rather than leaving a hard regrowth line.

When people choose it

  • Maintaining platinum blonde, bright silver, cool grey or ash-blonde hair between salon visits.
  • Refreshing faded tone at home.
  • Before an event when hair needs to look less yellow and more polished.

As with most direct dyes, the final look depends strongly on the starting base: the lighter the hair, the clearer and cooler the visible result.

Important notes

  • Because this is a direct colour product, it is wise to patch test before first use.
  • Apply it carefully, as it may mark skin, fabrics or porous surfaces.
  • Use extra caution around the eyes.
  • Keep in mind that very porous or heavily lightened hair can take up tone more intensely than expected.
