Description: Sulsena shampoo is the first step in addressing dandruff issues and their consequences, providing deep cleansing for hair showing excessive sebaceous gland secretion and the presence of greasy dandruff. The formula of Sulsena anti-dandruff shampoo is based on an active seboregulating component—selenium disulfide (SeS2)—which has a unique ability to target the root cause of dandruff: the yeast fungus Pityrosporum Ovale.
Action: Selenium disulfide has a threefold effect:
- Cytostatic: regulates the process of epidermal cell renewal by normalizing the function of sebaceous glands.
- Fungicidal: inhibits the growth of Pityrosporum Ovale yeast and destroys the environment conducive to their excessive reproduction.
- Keratolytic: normalizes the exfoliation of dead epidermal cells and prevents the appearance of dandruff.
The shampoo simultaneously combats five causes of dandruff:
- Disruption of sebaceous gland function, specifically excessive sebum production.
- Reduced protective properties of the scalp, creating favorable conditions for the excessive reproduction of Pityrosporum Ovale yeast.
- Decomposition of sebum due to enzymes secreted by the fungi, resulting in the formation of exogenous toxins.
- Accelerated formation of epidermal cells, shortening their life cycle and leading to premature death.
- Consequently, intense peeling of dead epidermal cells—dandruff.
Mechanism of Action: The selenium disulfide molecule attaches to the cell wall of the fungus, preventing its division and, therefore, reproduction. The fixation of active component particles on the scalp after rinsing the shampoo prevents the recurrence of dandruff, normalizes sebaceous gland function, and regulates the process of epidermal cell renewal.
