The Doctor Health & Care Shampoo "Keratin + Arginine + Biotin — Maximum Energy" is a professional cosmetic hair care shampoo from The Doctor H&C range, formulated with a triple-active complex of hydrolysed keratin, arginine (amino acid) and biotin (vitamin B7) for intensive nourishing and strengthening of weakened hair. Hydrolysed keratin is a protein hydrolysate derived from keratin — the primary structural protein of human hair — obtained by enzymatic or chemical hydrolysis of the native protein into smaller keratin peptides; these peptides can penetrate into the cortex of the hair shaft and temporarily fill cracks and gaps in the damaged keratin matrix, smoothing the cuticle and improving shine and strength. Arginine is a basic amino acid that forms part of the hair's natural amino acid building blocks and contributes to the hair shaft's structural integrity. Biotin (vitamin B7) is included in the formula as a B-vitamin associated with normal hair structure. The formula also contains panthenol (provitamin B5), witch hazel water (Hamamelis virginiana), arnica flower water (Arnica montana), niacinamide (vitamin B3), thiamine (vitamin B1), vitamins E and A, and sunflower and peanut oils.
