The ingredient list is intentionally short: linseed oil (Linum usitatissimum seed oil) and linoleic acid. There are no added fragrance, essential oils, or common sensitizers like alcohol denat. That simplicity lowers — but does not eliminate — the risk of a reaction, because even pure plant oils can trigger contact dermatitis in people with specific lipid allergies or a compromised barrier.
Do a patch test before full-face use: apply 1–2 drops to the inner forearm or behind the ear, cover with a breathable bandage, and leave for 48 hours. Watch for redness, itching, burning, or small bumps. If any appear, wash the area and do not use the product on your face. If the test is clear, start with once-daily application on a small facial zone (e.g. one cheek) for the first week.
If you have a known allergy to flax/linseed, avoid this product. If you are under dermatological care for conditions like eczema, rosacea, or perioral dermatitis, check with your specialist before adding any new lipid — even a barrier-supportive one — because occlusive layers can sometimes worsen certain inflammatory states.
