How much cream should I apply and how often do I need to reapply it?

For the SPF50 filter to actually work, the amount and timing matter as much as the product itself. Start by applying a generous layer to dry skin about 15–20 minutes before the child goes outside, so the filters have time to settle evenly. In practice, “generous” means you should not be able to see the skin through the cream — most people under-apply by a large margin, which lowers the effective protection far below the number on the tube.

Reapply every 2 hours, and always after swimming, towel-drying or heavy sweating. No sunscreen is truly “once a day” — even a water-resistant formula loses its film when the child dries off with a towel. The 150 ml tube is sized so a family can reapply freely during a vacation without worrying about running out.

Pay extra attention to spots that are often missed: the ears, the back of the neck, the tops of the feet, the shoulders and the parting of the hair. These areas get the most direct exposure and are easy to forget when everyone is in a hurry to get outside.
