Floresan Africa Kids SPF50 is a high-protection sunscreen designed for children's delicate skin. It belongs to the category of sun protection cosmetics and is formulated for outdoor activities — beach trips, swimming pools, mountain holidays and long walks under the bright sun. The 150 ml tube is generous enough for a whole family vacation, so reapplication does not become a problem.
The SPF50 rating means that, when applied in the recommended amount, the cream filters out roughly 98% of UVB rays — the ones primarily responsible for sunburn. Modern children's sun creams in this category usually combine UVA and UVB filters, which helps shield young skin from both immediate redness and longer-term photo-damage. UV filters work by either absorbing solar radiation and converting it into a harmless amount of heat, or by physically reflecting it from the skin surface, depending on the type of filter used in the formula.
Children's skin is thinner than adult skin, its barrier function is still developing, and it reaches sun overload much faster. That is why a dedicated kids' formula is a sensible choice instead of a generic adult product. Textures in this segment are usually softened with moisturising and emollient ingredients so that the cream spreads easily on active, wriggling little ones and does not feel sticky after application.
How to use it in real life:
A soft note of caution: this is a cosmetic product, not a medicine. Avoid contact with the eyes; if the cream gets in, rinse with plenty of water. It is not recommended for infants under 6 months — at that age paediatricians advise keeping babies out of direct sun rather than relying on sunscreen. If the child has very sensitive skin, allergies or a known reaction to UV filters, test a small amount on the inner forearm before the first full application. Store the tube away from direct sunlight and high heat to keep the filters stable throughout the season.
