ICONFIT Psyllium 300g is a natural psyllium husk powder dietary fibre supplement from ICONFIT (Estonia). Psyllium husk is the outer seed coat of the Indian plantain plant (Plantago ovata, also known as blonde psyllium or Isabgol), cultivated primarily in India, which is the world's leading producer of psyllium. Psyllium husk is exceptional for its extremely high dietary fibre content: each 25 g serving provides 19.5 g of dietary fibre — representing the vast majority of the serving weight. The fibre is predominantly water-soluble mucilaginous fibre (arabinoxylans / arabinoxylan polysaccharides), which absorbs water to form a dense, viscous gel when mixed with liquid. Psyllium husk powder can be stirred into water or other liquids (drink promptly before the gel sets), added to smoothies, incorporated into baking (bread, muffins, pancakes) as a fibre boost and gluten-free binding agent, or mixed into yoghurt or porridge.
