What is VITATEKA Psyllium Powder?
VITATEKA Psyllium Powder is an organic powder made from Plantago ovata seed husks, a superfood known for its high soluble fibre content. For a modern diet, this is especially relevant because many people eat few vegetables, whole grains, and seeds. Psyllium helps gently add to the diet what is usually lacking, without sugar, salt, or unnecessary components.
- High Fibre Content: 100 g of the product contains 90.02 g of dietary fibre.
- Natural Texture: When psyllium combines with liquid, it swells and forms a soft gel-like texture.
Usage in Cooking and Diet
Psyllium is especially well suited for people who want to eat lighter but are not ready to completely rebuild their menu. It is often chosen for:
- Breakfasts and smoothies
- Baking and homemade crispbreads
- Gluten-free dishes
In cooking, psyllium can work as a natural binding ingredient: the dough becomes more elastic, and the finished baked goods are less crumbly. It is not a quick stimulant or a product for a sharp effect, but a calm dietary habit that works best with regular and reasonable use together with a sufficient amount of water.
Nutritional Context
Scientific studies on dietary fibre show that soluble fibre is important for normal intestinal function and may help maintain a feeling of fullness for longer after eating. Psyllium has also been studied in the context of diet, appetite control, and metabolism, but it is more correct to speak specifically about nutritional support rather than a therapeutic effect. It does not replace varied food, movement, or specialist recommendations, but it can become a convenient daily addition for those who want to make their diet richer in fibre.
Important Usage Notes
To ensure a comfortable experience, please consider the following:
- Start Gradually: It is better to start with psyllium gradually, as the body needs to get used to a larger amount of fibre.
- Hydration: It is important to drink enough liquid because it is with water that psyllium reveals its texture and works more gently.
- Sensitivity: In case of individual sensitivity, an allergic reaction, or pronounced discomfort, it is better to discontinue the product and, if necessary, consult a specialist.

Customer Questions
VITATEKA psyllium is a powder made from the seed husks of the plantain Plantago ovata. Its main value lies in its high soluble fibre content: 90.02 g of dietary fibre per 100 g of product. Modern diets are often short of vegetables, whole grains and seeds, so a concentrated source of fibre like this can be a convenient addition.
To make adding psyllium to your diet a comfortable experience, follow a few principles. Start with the smallest amount — one small serving a day. Gradually, as your body adapts, you can increase the amount to the 5 g (1 measuring scoop) 1–2 times a day recommended by the manufacturer, but take your time. A sudden increase in fibre can cause bloating or discomfort.
Psyllium is widely used in cooking, especially in gluten-free baking. Because it forms a gel when combined with liquid, it acts as a natural binder. This helps the dough become more elastic and the finished bakes less crumbly and moister. For people who avoid gluten this is particularly relevant, as many gluten-free flours give a dry, crumbly texture.
