HUTOROK Kissellipulber kirsiga 30 g
HUTOROK Kissellipulber kirsiga 30 g is a cherry kissel powder — a traditional fruit drink that becomes softly thick when mixed with hot water. People usually choose this type of beverage when they want something warmer and more filling than juice, but lighter than a dessert. It fits well as part of breakfast, a midday drink, or a gentle option when plain tea feels too thin.
Texture and Ingredients
- Potato starch creates the smooth, spoonable consistency by absorbing water when heated.
- Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is included for its common presence in fruit-based drinks.
- Citric acid enhances the cherry flavor, adding brightness to the taste.
- Carbohydrates provide quick energy in a convenient, easy-to-prepare form.
Tradition and Convenience
Cherry-flavoured kissel has a long place in Eastern European home cooking, where berry and fruit starch drinks were often served warm as a simple kitchen staple. In this HUTOROK powdered drink format, that familiar idea becomes convenient: no need to boil berries or thicken the mixture yourself. It can suit adults and children who enjoy mildly sweet hot drinks, especially in cooler weather or when you want a soft-textured snack between meals.
Usage and Adjustments
Because this is a sweetened powdered beverage rather than whole fruit, it is best enjoyed as part of a balanced menu. If you are sensitive to any of the ingredients, especially colourings or flavourings, choose with caution. For children or people who prefer less sweetness, the taste can be adjusted by preparing a lighter cup.

Customer Questions
To prepare one serving, measure about 15–20 g of powder (roughly half the 30 g packet) into a cup or small bowl. Add a small amount of cold water first and stir into a smooth paste — this prevents the potato starch from clumping when the hot liquid hits it. Then pour in 150–200 ml of freshly boiled water while stirring continuously. The starch activates almost instantly, turning the liquid into a softly thick, spoonable drink. If you prefer a thinner consistency, use a little more water or less powder. Let it stand for 30–60 seconds before drinking; the texture will stabilise as it cools slightly. Because the product already contains sugar, citric acid, and ascorbic acid, no extra ingredients are needed.
Cherry kissel has a long history as a mild, warm drink for children, and the HUTOROK powder keeps that profile: the base is potato starch, sugar, and fruit flavourings with added ascorbic and citric acid. For younger children or anyone who prefers less sweetness, you have two practical options. First, simply use less powder per cup — try 10 g instead of 15–20 g — and top up with the same amount of hot water; the starch will still thicken, but the sugar concentration drops proportionally. Second, prepare it at standard strength and then dilute the finished kissel with additional hot water in the cup. Both approaches keep the smooth texture because the starch is already hydrated. As with any sweetened beverage, it’s best offered as part of a varied diet rather than a daily staple. If the child has known sensitivities to colourings, flavourings, or any listed ingredient, check the full label before serving.
The ingredient declaration centres on potato starch, which provides the characteristic thick, spoonable texture when heated. Sugar gives the baseline sweetness, while citric acid brightens the cherry flavour and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is included as commonly found in fruit-based drinks. The cherry taste comes from added flavouring and, typically, a colourant to give the expected red hue. The source material does not mention milk, egg, soy, peanut, tree nut, sesame, lupin, mollusc, crustacean, fish, celery, mustard, or gluten-containing cereals (wheat, rye, barley, oats) as intentional ingredients. However, because manufacturing lines can handle multiple products, you should always read the actual packaging for any “may contain” or cross-contact statements before giving it to someone with a diagnosed allergy. If you are avoiding specific additives such as certain colourants (e.g., E122, E124) or artificial flavours, check the full label on the 30 g packet, as formulations can vary by batch or market.
