Product overview
HUTOROK soluble chicory drink with lemongrass and sea buckthorn is a caffeine-free hot drink for people who enjoy the roasted, slightly bitter character of chicory and want something gentler than coffee. It dissolves quickly in water and works well as a warm beverage in the morning or later in the day, when you want a rich taste without coffee beans.
Key ingredients
- Chicory extract – the base of the drink; chicory root is naturally rich in inulin, a soluble fibre that absorbs water and becomes gel‑like, helping the drink feel more satisfying.
- Lemongrass extract – adds a fresh citrus note and makes the flavour lighter.
- Sea buckthorn extract – brings a tart, berry‑like accent.
Taste profile
The combination gives the drink a more layered taste than plain chicory: roasted and full‑bodied at the base, with bright herbal‑citrus and fruity notes on top. It can suit people who want variety in hot beverages or who find regular coffee too sharp for their taste.
When to enjoy
- as a warm cup with breakfast
- as an afternoon alternative to coffee
- as a simple unsweetened drink between meals
Important notes
If you are sensitive to herbal ingredients, pregnant or breastfeeding, or choosing products with plant extracts for a specific health reason, it is sensible to check whether this drink is suitable for you.

Customer Questions
Classic instant chicory is usually a single ingredient with a characteristic caramel and nutty flavour. HUTOROK adds extracts of schisandra (2%) and sea buckthorn (2%), and this noticeably changes the profile of the drink.
HUTOROK with schisandra and sea buckthorn is a caffeine-free drink. This is its key difference from coffee: it has none of the stimulating effect of caffeine. However, schisandra is traditionally classed as a tonic plant, so if you drink it in the evening, watch how it affects your sleep.
Although HUTOROK is a caffeine-free plant-based drink, some conditions call for a more careful approach.
