The result is a deeply characterful, multilayered, beautifully aromatic tea with a rich, complex sensory profile. Fireweed provides the warm, floral, honey-sweet tea base. Tormentil (Potentilla erecta) is a compact wild herb of the boreal zone whose dried root has a pleasantly astringent quality that adds structure and body to the blend. Sagan daila (Rhododendron adamsii) is a traditional Buryat and Mongolian wild shrub from the high-altitude meadows of Eastern Siberia and Mongolia, prized for its intensely aromatic, characteristic sharp-resinous, minty-fresh top note. PREPARATION: Add 1 teaspoon (2–4 g) to a teapot. Pour 500 ml of freshly boiled water. Steep for 10–15 minutes.
