Intensity varies: thinner skin areas (inner forearm, behind the knee) feel it more strongly than thicker areas like the lower back. Applying a thinner layer or massaging it in more thoroughly can moderate the heat; a thicker layer or occlusion (e.g., clothing over the area) will intensify and prolong it. If the warmth becomes uncomfortable, wipe the area with a damp cloth and wash with cool water — do not apply additional product to "cool it down." Because the formula is designed for a distinct warming action, it is not a neutral moisturizer; expect a clear thermal sensation each time you use it.
The product is formulated for larger muscle and joint zones — upper and lower back, shoulders, thighs, calves, and knees — where the skin is relatively thick and the warming effect can be comfortably tolerated.
