Sustavit Chondroitin with Comfrey and Marsh Cinquefoil Gel-Balsam is a cosmetic body gel-balsam from the KorolevFarm Sustavit range, combining chondroitin sulphate — a glycosaminoglycan naturally found in animal cartilage — with comfrey (Symphytum officinale) and marsh cinquefoil (Comarum palustre) botanical extracts in a cosmetic gel base for topical application over joint and muscle areas. Chondroitin sulphate is included in this preparation as a topical cosmetic conditioning ingredient; in the cosmetic context it provides skin-conditioning and moisturising properties as a natural polymer with excellent water-binding capacity. Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) root and leaf extract provides allantoin, mucilage polysaccharides and rosmarinic acid for skin-conditioning properties. Marsh cinquefoil (comarum) contributes its characteristic botanic actives. The gel base provides a cooling, fresh application feel that complements the warming effect of the botanical complex.

USE: Apply the gel-balsam to the target area. Massage in circular movements until absorbed. Use 2–3 times per day.
WARNINGS: For external use only. Contains comfrey (pyrrolizidine alkaloids) — do not apply to broken or damaged skin; limit to short courses (max 4–6 weeks per year on the same area). Chondroitin sulphate is animal-derived (bovine/porcine cartilage) — note for those avoiding animal-derived ingredients. Avoid contact with eyes. In case of allergic reaction, discontinue use. Not a medicinal product. Keep out of reach of children.

When people hear the name, they often think of oral joint supplements, where chondroitin is taken by mouth with the aim of supporting cartilage structure from the inside. In a topical cosmetic product like this gel-balsam, however, chondroitin works very differently: it is not absorbed into joints or cartilage through the skin, and it is not intended to act as a nutrient for internal tissue.
