OLKO SALIPOD callus plaster is a medicated corn plaster designed for areas of thickened, hardened skin that develop from friction and pressure. People often choose this plaster when a callus on the foot becomes dense, rough, and uncomfortable in shoes, seeking a targeted way to soften it before gentle removal.
Key Components and Their Effects
- Salicylic acid: Helps loosen the “glue” that holds dead skin cells together, gradually softening the compacted layer for easier removal. This is known as a keratolytic effect. Salicylic acid is also recognized for its mild antiseptic action on the skin surface.
- Sulfur: Often used alongside salicylic acid, sulfur helps the active ingredient penetrate the thickened area more effectively and contributes to the overall softening effect.
How the Patch Works
The patch form keeps the active area in close contact with the callus for many hours, allowing the hard skin to absorb the keratolytic components gradually. This focused application is practical for small, localized spots such as corns or pressure points on the toes or soles, without spreading product over a larger area of healthy skin.
When and How to Use
- Suitable for: Adults who spend long hours on their feet, wear tight or rigid footwear, or notice recurring build-up on the same spot.
