Bio National Pepper Green Tea is a spiced herbal tea blend from the GrinLab/Bio National range, combining allspice (Pimenta dioica), black pepper (Piper nigrum) and liquorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) in a caffeine-free base for a bold, warming and aromatic cup with an exotic spice character. Allspice (Pimenta dioica) is an evergreen tree from the Myrtaceae family native to the Caribbean and Central America, whose dried berry provides one of the most complex spice aromas known — it contains eugenol (the same key aromatic compound as cloves), along with caryophyllene, methyleugenol and other terpenes, giving a combined aroma reminiscent of cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg simultaneously. Black pepper (Piper nigrum) provides the characteristic pungent heat from piperine and the aromatic depth of caryophyllene and beta-pinene. Liquorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) provides the distinctive sweet, aniseed-like taste from glycyrrhizin and its aglycone glycyrrhetinic acid. The combination creates an intensely aromatic, warming, slightly sweet-spicy blend with a distinctive depth of flavour. The product is marketed as a "pepper green tea" for tea connoisseurs who appreciate bold, unusual flavour profiles. 25 filter bags × 1.7 g. Caffeine-free.
⚠ Contains liquorice root: limit to moderate consumption; not recommended in large amounts for persons with hypertension or during pregnancy (glycyrrhizin).

What it is
Planeta Zdorovia Bio National Pepper Green Tea is a caffeine-free spiced herbal tea for people who enjoy a warmer, more unusual cup than classic mint or fruit blends. Despite the name, the character here comes mainly from spices: allspice, black pepper and liquorice root create a deep, fragrant infusion with gentle heat, mild sweetness and an exotic, kitchen-spice aroma.
Key components and flavour
Its flavour works in layers, with each spice adding a distinct note:
- Allspice — known for a naturally complex scent that can remind you of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg at the same time, thanks to aromatic compounds such as eugenol.
- Black pepper — adds a drier, livelier edge through piperine, the substance responsible for pepper’s familiar pungency.
- Liquorice root — softens the sharper notes with rounded sweetness, so the blend feels fuller rather than simply hot.
The result is not a dessert tea and not a classic green tea either, but a bold herbal drink with a distinctly warming profile.
When people choose it
This kind of tea is often chosen for:
- slow evenings, cold weather, or moments when you want something aromatic without caffeine;
- enjoying spiced infusions after meals;
- a more expressive alternative to standard herbal blends.
Because the taste is naturally intense, it is especially appealing to tea drinkers who enjoy Eastern-inspired spice notes and less conventional combinations.
What makes it interesting
What makes this Bio National blend interesting is the pairing of pungent and sweet spice elements in tea-bag form: easy to prepare, yet with a flavour profile that feels closer to a loose spiced tisane. Allspice has a long culinary history in the Caribbean and Central America, while black pepper and liquorice root have been used across many food traditions for their depth and aroma, which helps explain why the cup feels so rich even without caffeine.
Important notes
As this herbal tea contains liquorice root, it is best enjoyed in moderation. If you are pregnant or have high blood pressure, it is wise to check whether liquorice-containing drinks are suitable for you.

Customer Questions
PIPRA ROHELINE TEE (Bio National Pepper Green Tea) is a caffeine-free herbal infusion that stands out for its bold, warming taste. Unlike classic green teas, which are typically grassy or vegetal, or standard herbal blends that lean toward minty or fruity notes, this tea is defined by its spice-driven character. Allspice provides a complex aroma reminiscent of clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg, while black pepper adds a dry, lively heat through its pungency. Liquorice root rounds out the blend with gentle sweetness, softening the sharper spice notes. The result is a fragrant, layered cup that feels fuller and more expressive, with an exotic, kitchen-spice aroma. It is not a dessert tea nor a traditional green tea, but rather a bold herbal drink that appeals to those who enjoy Eastern-inspired spice notes and less conventional combinations. If you are seeking a caffeine-free tea with a warming, aromatic profile, this blend offers a unique alternative to classic options.
PIPRA ROHELINE TEE includes liquorice root, which is known for its naturally sweet flavour but can have effects that warrant moderation. If you are pregnant or have high blood pressure, it is wise to check whether liquorice-containing drinks are suitable for you, as liquorice root may not be recommended in these situations. The tea is best enjoyed in moderation by all users, but especially those with these considerations. If you are unsure, consult a specialist before including this tea in your routine, particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, managing chronic conditions, or taking medication. This tea is intended as part of a varied diet and not as a substitute for medical advice or treatment.
