Omega-3 fatty acids are fat-soluble compounds, so they are absorbed noticeably better when the stomach contains food with fats. Taking OstroVit Omega 3 capsules during a meal or right after it is the most common practice: it improves the absorption of EPA and DHA and reduces the likelihood of stomach discomfort or fishy burps.
