Can OstroVit Omega 3 be taken if I have a fish allergy?

OstroVit Omega 3 contains fish oil, a product of animal origin obtained from fish. This product is not suitable for people with a confirmed allergy to fish or seafood: an allergic reaction may occur even to traces of fish protein that may be present in fish oil.

If omega-3 is needed but fish oil is ruled out for medical reasons, there are fish-free alternatives, for example microalgae oil, which also contains DHA and EPA. Such products are usually suitable for both people with a fish allergy and vegetarians. The choice of a specific alternative is best discussed with a doctor or an allergist.

If you have any doubts about tolerance of the product, especially if you have a history of allergic reactions, consulting a specialist is mandatory before you start taking it.
