Mellor & Russell Simply Essentials Argan Oil Moisturising Hand Cream is a cosmetic daily hand cream from the Simply Essentials range, formulated with argan oil (Argania spinosa) as the principal nourishing active, together with glycerine and D-panthenol for comprehensive moisturisation and barrier protection. Argan oil ("Liquid Gold" of Morocco) provides an exceptionally rich antioxidant composition for hand skin care: vitamin E tocopherols (one of the highest natural concentrations in any plant oil), squalene and an optimal blend of oleic acid (omega-9) and linoleic acid (omega-6) fatty acids that soften and condition the skin surface. Glycerine (glycerol) is a fundamental humectant that binds atmospheric moisture to the skin surface. D-panthenol (provitamin B5) is the alcohol derivative of pantothenic acid that converts to pantothenic acid in the skin, where it supports normal skin barrier repair and acts as a supplementary humectant, improving the flexibility and suppleness of the stratum corneum. The combination of argan oil + glycerine + panthenol creates a multi-layered moisturising system: the oil phase nourishes and seals the skin barrier, the glycerine retains surface moisture, and the panthenol supports barrier integrity.
