The cream contains vitamin A. Can I also use retinol, acids or other strong actives?

Vitamin A is included to encourage surface renewal and support a firmer, more even-looking complexion. It is a useful active, but it also changes how the skin tolerates other products. If you already use retinol or other vitamin A derivatives, exfoliating acids, high-strength vitamin C, or prescription skincare, do not simply layer this cream on top in the same routine. Several renewal-promoting ingredients used together can easily lead to redness, flaking or a tight, uncomfortable feeling.

Practical options: use the DeBa cream only in the morning and keep your retinol or acid for the evening, or alternate the products on different days. If you are new to active ingredients, start with this cream every other day or every two days and increase frequency only if your skin stays calm. If your skin is very reactive, patch test on a small area before applying to the whole face.

Because vitamin A can increase sun sensitivity, a reliable sunscreen is important when using this cream during the day. Introduce the cream gradually if you already use chemical exfoliants, and stop if you notice persistent stinging, peeling or redness. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a chronic skin condition, or use prescription medication on your face, consult a specialist before use.
