If your skin is sensitive or easily dehydrated, you should introduce this gel with extra care and closely observe how your skin responds. Start by applying it only once every two or three days to a single test area, like a small part of your chin or beside your nose. Watch for signs of increased redness, stinging, peeling, or excessive dryness. The inclusion of allantoin and panthenol aims to help soften the skin and limit tightness, which may make it more tolerable than a plain salicylic acid treatment for some.
However, the primary active, salicylic acid, is an exfoliant that can be drying. Therefore, this product is not primarily formulated for dry skin types. Its purpose is for local application on problematic areas that tend to be oily or congested, not for hydrating or treating overall dryness. If you have combination skin with an oily T‑zone but dry cheeks, you could cautiously try it only on the oily areas. Always ensure you follow with a good moisturizer on the treated areas and the rest of your face. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and allow your skin barrier to recover.
