I enjoy adding scents to my bath and body products. How can I incorporate this oil into my existing creams or bath salts without damaging my skin or the product?

As a cosmetic ingredient, fir essential oil is appreciated for its cleansing and toning effect, especially for skin that looks tired or lacks freshness. However, it is not meant to be used on its own. To incorporate it safely into your routine, add it in very small amounts to a carrier product just before application to avoid degradation and ensure proper dilution.

For lotions or creams: Scoop your desired single-use amount (e.g., a palm-sized dollop) into your hand. Add only 1 drop of fir oil, mix thoroughly with your finger, and then apply. Do not add the oil directly to the entire jar or bottle, as it can separate or react with preservatives.

For bath salts or bath bombs: Add 2-3 drops of fir oil to a bowl containing your portion of bath salts (about 1 cup). Mix well so the oil disperses among the grains before adding them to the bathwater. This creates a toning note in your body ritual. The heat and water will help disperse the aroma. Because essential oils do not mix with water, never add drops directly to a full bath, as they can float on top and contact skin at full strength, potentially causing irritation.
