Apply the shampoo to wet hair, focusing first on the scalp, where oil, sweat and most styling residue collect. Massage gently with your fingertips to create foam and help lift away impurities from the scalp and hair shaft. Avoid scratching with nails, as this can make the scalp feel irritated even with a normal shampoo.
Rinse thoroughly, especially at the roots and behind the ears, because leftover shampoo can make hair feel coated or the scalp feel uncomfortable. If your hair has a lot of styling product in it, you can repeat the wash, but for everyday cleansing one wash may be enough depending on your routine and how oily your scalp feels.
The formula contains conditioning components to reduce roughness after rinsing, so hair should not feel overly squeaky or tangled. However, if your mid-lengths or ends are dry, long, bleached, heat-styled or prone to knots, follow with a conditioner or balm on the lengths rather than the scalp. This keeps the roots feeling fresher while giving the ends extra slip and softness.
Avoid contact with the eyes. If shampoo gets into the eyes, rinse carefully with water. Stop using the product if irritation appears.
