Can I use this serum together with retinol, exfoliating acids or other active skincare?

This serum contains vitamin C as its key active, so it is best to think of it as one active step in your routine rather than simply another moisturising layer. If you already use exfoliating acids, retinol or other strong skincare products, add the serum gradually and pay attention to how your skin reacts.

A simple way to reduce the chance of irritation is to separate actives. For example, you may use vitamin C in the morning with moisturiser and sunscreen, and keep retinol or exfoliating acids for selected evenings. Another option is alternating nights: vitamin C on one evening, retinol or acids on another, with rest days if your skin feels tight or reactive.

Avoid applying several potentially irritating products at the same time if your skin barrier feels compromised, dry or stinging. Signs that your routine may be too intense include persistent redness, burning, flaking, unusual tightness or increased sensitivity when applying basic moisturiser. In that case, pause active products and return to gentle cleansing, moisturising and daytime SPF until the skin feels comfortable again.

Do not apply this serum close to the eye area. If you have a diagnosed skin condition or are unsure how to combine cosmetic actives with treatments prescribed by a professional, ask a dermatologist or pharmacist for personalised advice.
