Emelyanovskaya Biofabrika Fermented Fireweed Leaf Tea with Strawberry 50 g is a traditional Russian herbal tea blend combining fermented fireweed leaf (Epilobium angustifolium L., also called "Koporye tea" / "Ivan-chai") with dried strawberry. Emelyanovskaya Biofabrika produces its fermented fireweed teas from hand-collected fireweed leaves from certified Siberian wild-growing sites in the Novgorod region forests. Fireweed (Epilobium angustifolium) is a perennial flowering plant of the family Onagraceae, native to the Northern Hemisphere, that has been used as a traditional herbal beverage in Russia for many centuries (also known as "Koporye tea", the historical Russian alternative to Chinese tea, widely drunk before the 20th century tea trade). The fermentation process — similar to that used for black tea — develops the fireweed's characteristic flavour, producing a smooth, full-bodied, deep red brew with no caffeine. Dried strawberry pieces contribute a natural fruity sweetness and fresh berry aroma. A blend of forest, Siberian tradition and natural fruit freshness in every cup. 50 g. Caffeine-free.

Emelyanovskaya Biofabrika Fermented Fireweed Tea with Strawberry is a herbal tea made from fermented fireweed leaves and dried strawberry pieces. People usually choose this kind of drink when they want a rich, tea-like cup without caffeine. The taste is fuller and rounder than many light herbal infusions, with a deep red colour, soft berry aroma and gentle natural sweetness from the fruit.
The key ingredient here is fermented fireweed, also known as Ivan-chai or Koporye tea. Fireweed leaves do not contain caffeine, but after fermentation they develop a darker, smoother flavour profile that feels closer to black tea than to grassy herbal blends. Fermentation changes the leaf through natural enzymatic oxidation, which reduces the raw green note and brings out deeper, warmer tones. Strawberry does not just add fragrance: it also softens the herbal character and gives the blend a more rounded, fruity finish.
This style of tea has a real cultural background. Fireweed has been prepared as a traditional beverage in Russia for centuries, especially under the name Koporye tea. Its long use matters because this is not an invented novelty blend but a familiar regional drink with its own character and brewing tradition. In this version, the berry note makes it especially suitable for those who enjoy herbal infusions but want something more expressive than plain leaves.
It fits well as a hot drink in the evening, as a warm cup during work when you want a break from regular tea or coffee, or as a chilled herbal infusion in warmer weather. If you are sensitive to botanicals or have known intolerance to strawberry or fireweed, choose with caution. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, it is sensible to check with a healthcare professional before use.
