Scorpion venom in cosmetics typically refers to a synthetic or fractionated peptide derived from scorpion toxin research; one of the most studied cosmetic applications involves chlorotoxin-derived peptides. Bee venom (apitoxin) is a protein-peptide complex of dried honeybee venom.
