What This Balm Is For
FBT SKORPIONI- JA MESILASMÜRK kehapalsam is a warming body balm for joints, muscles and areas that feel stiff or overworked after physical activity, long hours sitting, gardening or exposure to cold. People usually choose this type of product when they want a local warming effect and a massage balm that helps the area feel looser and easier to move.
Key Ingredients
The formula is built around two ingredients traditionally used in topical products for muscles and joints:
- Scorpion venom — included in specialized external formulas aimed at restoring a more mobile feeling in overworked body areas.
- Bee venom — well known in cosmetic and massage products for its stimulating action and warming sensation on the skin.
Together, these active ingredients create a warming sensation that helps stimulate local microcirculation and brings a feeling of ease to tense areas. When the skin is massaged during application, the balm also helps relax tight spots mechanically.
When and Where to Use It
This balm is designed for topical use on specific zones rather than as a general body cream. It fits well in situations such as:
- After sport or physical exertion
- After a long walk or outdoor activity
- During seasonal stiffness or exposure to cold
- Before rest, when the body feels tense and heavy
- After long hours of sitting or gardening
Typical application areas include the back, neck, shoulders, knees, elbows and calves. The balm texture is practical for rubbing in.
Cautions and Important Notes
This product is best suited for adults who want a warming cosmetic for local use — not a face or hand cream.
- Apply cautiously at first, as bee venom can be irritating for sensitive users.
- Do not use on damaged skin or near mucous membranes.
- If you have a history of reactions to bee products or strongly active topical ingredients, patch test before regular use.
- Stop use if redness, burning or irritation becomes pronounced.

Customer Questions
The warming sensation described for this balm comes from the two active ingredients: bee venom and scorpion venom. These are known in topical cosmetic products for their stimulating action on the skin. The sensation is a localized feeling of warmth, not heat. It develops gradually during the massage application as the balm is worked into the skin over areas like the back, neck, shoulders, or knees. It is not instant or intense like some muscle rubs containing menthol or capsaicin. The warmth usually lasts for the duration of the massage and may linger mildly afterward, contributing to a feeling of ease in the area. The effect is primarily due to increased local microcirculation—a temporary response to the stimulating ingredients—and the mechanical action of rubbing. It's designed to be part of the experience of applying a massage balm after physical activity or when feeling stiff. If the sensation becomes pronounced, turns into burning, or causes significant redness, it's a sign to stop using the product, especially if you have sensitive skin or known reactions to bee products.
For best results, use this balm as a topical product on specific body areas, not as a general body or hand cream. Start with a small amount, roughly a pea-sized portion, on the target area such as a stiff shoulder, knee, or the lower back. Gently massage it into the skin using circular or stroking motions for 1-2 minutes. The balm texture is formulated to be practical for rubbing in. The combination of the massage and the active ingredients helps stimulate the area and create the warming sensation. Typical application zones are the back, neck, shoulders, elbows, knees, and calves—places that often feel overworked after sport, long walks, gardening, or sitting. Use it up to 1-2 times daily, ideally after physical exertion or before rest when the body feels tense. Do not apply to damaged skin, open wounds, or near mucous membranes (eyes, nose, mouth). After application, wash your hands unless you are treating them. Since the formula contains bee venom, which can be irritating, perform a patch test on a small area of skin before first regular use if you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions to bee products.
In this cosmetic balm, bee venom and scorpion venom are included as active ingredients traditionally used in topical formulas aimed at muscles and joints. They are present in amounts typical for external cosmetic use to provide a stimulating, warming sensation. The primary safety consideration is that bee venom, in particular, can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in some individuals. Therefore, the product is not recommended for use on damaged skin or near sensitive areas like the eyes. If you have a known allergy to bee stings, honey, propolis, or other bee products, you should avoid this balm or perform a cautious patch test first. Similarly, if you have generally sensitive skin or react strongly to active topical ingredients, start with a very small amount. A patch test involves applying a tiny dab on the inside of your forearm, waiting 24 hours, and checking for any redness, itching, or burning. During normal use, stop application immediately if you experience pronounced redness, persistent burning, swelling, or significant discomfort. The product is intended for adult use on local body areas and is not a face cream. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any disease. If you have chronic skin conditions, are pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication, consulting a specialist before use is advisable.
A balm typically has a thicker, more concentrated texture than a regular body lotion or cream. It's often formulated with a higher proportion of butters, waxes, or oils, which gives it a denser consistency that melts slightly upon contact with skin warmth. This particular product is described as a 'body balm,' meaning it's designed for practical rubbing into specific areas rather than for light, all-over hydration. You can expect it to have substantial 'slip' during massage, allowing your fingers to glide over the skin without dragging, which is useful for working into stiff muscles or joints. It will likely absorb more slowly than a lotion, leaving a protective, non-greasy film that helps maintain the warming and stimulating effect of the active ingredients locally. This format is chosen for products intended for targeted, massage-like application where you want to spend a minute or two working the product into the skin. It is not a runny or quick-absorbing formula, so a small amount (pea-sized) is sufficient for an area like a knee or shoulder. For storage, keep the container in a cool, dry place to maintain its consistency.
