Lekraset Elderflower (Sambucus nigra L.) 25g is a dried herbal supplement of elderflower from the black elder plant (Sambucus nigra L., family Adoxaceae / Caprifoliaceae) — one of the most iconic, traditionally significant and widely recognised medicinal and culinary plants of Northern and Central European botanical heritage. The elder tree (Sambucus nigra) grows widely across Europe, Western Asia and North America as a shrub or small tree at forest margins, roadsides and hedgerows. The flowers are harvested in late spring/early summer when they open into large, flat-topped clusters of tiny, creamy-white, intensely sweet and distinctively fragrant blossoms with a warm, honey-like, slightly musky floral aroma. Elderflowers contain flavonoids (rutin, quercetin glycosides, kaempferol), triterpenes (alpha-amyrin, beta-amyrin, ursolic acid), phenolic acids, essential oils and mucilaginous polysaccharides. Used to prepare a herbal infusion (tea) as a food supplement. Not a medicinal product.

LEKRASET Leedriõied 25 g is dried elderflower from Sambucus nigra, a traditional herbal tea used across Northern and Central Europe. People usually choose elderflower when they want a mild botanical infusion with a soft floral, honey-like aroma and a long history of seasonal use in the colder months or whenever they prefer classic herbs instead of stronger-tasting plants.
What makes elderflower interesting is its naturally occurring mix of plant compounds. The blossoms contain flavonoids such as rutin and quercetin glycosides, along with phenolic acids, small amounts of essential oil and mucilaginous substances. In simple terms, flavonoids are protective compounds that plants produce for themselves; in herbal infusions they are valued for their gentle, broad action. The mucilaginous components give the brew a softer character, while the aromatic fraction shapes the pleasant fragrance that makes elderflower tea especially easy to drink.
This herb also has a strong place in European folk tradition. Elder shrubs were widely known in village herb culture, and the flowers were commonly prepared as a warm infusion. Today, LEKRaset elderflower is a simple single-herb option for those who appreciate traditional botanicals, enjoy building a herbal cupboard at home, or like rotating different plant teas through the week. It can fit well into a calm evening ritual, a warming drink in damp weather, or a lighter herbal alternative to black tea.
Because this is a plain dried herb rather than an extract or capsule, the experience is closer to classic herbal preparation: aroma, taste and plant character all matter. That often appeals to people who prefer loose herbal teas and want a more traditional format instead of concentrated products.
A gentle note of caution: herbal products are not suitable for everyone in the same way. If you are pregnant, choosing herbs for a child, or tend to react to flowering plants, it is sensible to check with a qualified specialist first and stop use if any sensitivity appears.
