VITATEKA Fireweed Tea "Taiga" 100g is a traditional Siberian forest herbal tea blend, combining three wild-harvested boreal forest ingredients in one cup: fireweed (ivan-chai, Epilobium angustifolium / Chamerion angustifolium — the defining and principal ingredient), Scots pine buds (Pinus sylvestris) and fresh spruce needles (Picea abies). This exclusive Vitateka blend is inspired by the rich tea culture of the Siberian taiga forest, where fireweed tea has been prepared as a warming, deeply fragrant drink for centuries. Fireweed leaf tea (ivan-chai / Koporye tea) has a long and remarkable history — historically, the fermented fireweed tea produced around the village of Koporye was so widely enjoyed and exported from Russia in the 18th–19th centuries that it became known as "Russian Tea" in European markets. The pine buds and spruce needles in this Taiga blend add a distinctive, crisp, resinous, forest-fresh note to the characteristically floral, honey-sweet, grassy base of the fireweed leaf tea. Together, they create an unmistakably deep, aromatic, warming and enveloping forest tea experience. Naturally caffeine-free. Not a medicine. Loose leaf, 100 g.

VITATEKA Fireweed Tea "Taiga" 100 g is a caffeine-free herbal tea for people who want a warming cup with a clear forest character rather than the sharpness of black or green tea. The blend is built around fireweed, also known as ivan-chai, and complemented by pine buds and spruce needles. Together they create a rounded taste: soft and slightly floral from fireweed, with crisp resinous notes from the conifer ingredients.
Fireweed has a long place in Northern and Eastern European tea traditions. Historically, fermented fireweed tea was known as Koporye tea and was enjoyed as a fragrant plant-based alternative to imported tea. In this Vitateka herbal drink, fireweed forms the smooth base of the infusion, while pine buds and spruce needles add the aroma people often associate with taiga landscapes. These conifer parts are valued in herbal tea culture mainly for their fresh, balsamic scent and their pleasantly brisk finish in the cup.
What makes this loose tea interesting is the combination itself. It is not just a single-herb infusion, but a Siberian-style forest blend where each plant changes the drinking experience. Fireweed keeps the taste mellow, pine buds bring depth, and spruce needles add a bright woodland edge. Because it contains no caffeine, many people choose this herbal beverage in the evening, during a quiet break at work, or in colder weather when they want something soothing and aromatic without the stimulating effect of traditional tea or coffee.
This tea suits those who enjoy botanical flavours, rustic herbal blends, and old regional tea traditions. It can fit into a simple tea ritual when you want variety beyond mint or chamomile, or when you prefer a more full-bodied herbal infusion with a natural woodland profile. If you are sensitive to any plant in the blend, or prone to allergies to herbs or conifer ingredients, use caution and stop using it if any unwanted reaction appears.
