Teavit Dried Blueberries consist of dried and crushed berries of the European wild blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus), one of the most anthocyanin-rich fruits in the Northern European flora. The characteristic deep blue-black colour of the berries — both their skin and their flesh — is due to an exceptional density of anthocyanins, a class of flavonoid polyphenols that includes delphinidin-3-glucoside, cyanidin-3-glucoside, petunidin-3-glucoside, peonidin-3-glucoside, and malvidin-3-glucoside among the principal identified compounds. Alongside anthocyanins, blueberry fruit contains other flavonoids (quercetin and myricetin glycosides), chlorogenic acids, catechins, and vitamins C and K.
The dried format concentrates the natural phytochemical and nutrient content of the fresh berry by removing the majority of free moisture. Dried blueberries can be used to brew a pleasant, lightly astringent dark-red herbal infusion, eaten as a snack, or incorporated into porridges, cereals, baked goods, and desserts. The 50 g pack provides a practical supply for home use.

TEAVIT Mustika marjad 50 g are dried European wild blueberries by Teavit, prepared from Vaccinium myrtillus berries. People usually choose this kind of herbal berry product when they want a simple plant-based addition to tea blends, porridge, baking, or a light fruit snack. Unlike many cultivated blueberries, wild bilberries are naturally dark not only in the skin but also in the flesh, which points to their high content of coloured plant compounds.
The main active substances in dried blueberries are anthocyanins — flavonoids that give the berries their deep blue-violet tone. In plain language, these compounds act as antioxidants: they help protect cells from oxidative stress caused by normal metabolism and external factors. TEAVIT dried blueberries also contain other polyphenols such as chlorogenic acids, catechins, quercetin and myricetin glycosides, along with vitamins C and K. This combination makes dried bilberries an interesting choice for those who appreciate whole-berry herbal ingredients rather than isolated extracts.
What makes this form practical is concentration through drying: when water is removed, the berry becomes more compact in flavour and composition. That is why a small amount can give a richly coloured infusion with a mildly tart taste. TEAVIT Mustika marjad can fit easily into many habits — for example as a warm berry drink in cooler weather, mixed into breakfast bowls, or added to homemade desserts when fresh berries are out of season. Bilberries also have a long tradition of use in Northern and Eastern Europe as both a food and an ingredient for household herbal infusions.
Because this is a plain dried berry product, it may suit people who prefer minimal compositions with no extra additives. It is still best to use it thoughtfully: if you have an allergy to berries or notice individual sensitivity, stop use. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, giving herbal products to a child, or following a special eating plan, it is sensible to check first whether dried bilberries are appropriate for you.
