Kuidas tarbida
- Tee: 1 supilusikatäis marju purustada, valada peale 250 ml keeva vett ja lasta tõmmata 15–20 minutit kaane all.
- Keedis: marju keeta tasasel tulel 10 minutit, kurnata ja maitsestada meega — mesi neutraliseerib loomupärase mõruduse.
- Segu teiste taimedega: hästi sobivad kibuvitsamarjad, pärnaõied ja vaarikalehed.

Lodjapuumarjad 50 g Horst is a package of dried viburnum (Viburnum opulus) berries. These are plain, selected whole berries with no additives, suitable for people who prefer to compose their own herbal tea blends or use plant material in the kitchen. The berries naturally contain vitamin C, P vitamins (bioflavonoids), pectins, organic acids, tannins, and anthocyanins — the natural pigments that give them their dark red color. Their slightly bitter taste comes from a glycoside called viburnin.
The simplest method is the tea. Use one tablespoon of dried berries per 250 ml of water. Slightly crush the berries first so the hot water reaches the inside of the fruit. Pour boiling water over them, put a lid on the cup or teapot, and leave it for 15–20 minutes. After steeping you can strain the liquid or leave the berries at the bottom of the cup — that is a matter of preference.
The dried viburnum berries were designed to be used on their own or in herbal mixtures. The product description specifically mentions rosehip fruit, lingonberry, and chamomile as compatible partners, and it also names linden flowers and raspberry leaves as good companions. In practice, this means you can add a small handful of viburnum berries to the herbal tea blend you already like.
Dried viburnum berries are a natural herbal raw material, but that does not mean they are free of caution points. The product is meant to be consumed moderately because the berries contain biologically active compounds. If you are pregnant, have low blood pressure, kidney disease or increased blood clotting, are breastfeeding, or take other medicines, consult a doctor or pharmacist before using these berries.
