Sustavit Double Comfrey Gel-Balsam is a cosmetic body gel-balsam from the KorolevFarm Sustavit range, formulated with a double-concentration comfrey (Symphytum officinale) aqueous extract as the lead active, supplemented by a comprehensive multi-botanical complex. Comfrey root and leaf extract provides the characteristic allantoin, mucilage polysaccharides and rosmarinic acid that characterise this traditional European topical botanical. The comprehensive formula additionally incorporates: comarum/marsh cinquefoil extract, thyme (Thymus serpyllum), valerian root (Valeriana officinalis) extract, boswellia (Boswellia serrata) resin extract, eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus), St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum), goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea), burdock (Arctium lappa), rosehip (Rosa canina) and chamomile extracts. The formula is further enhanced with chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine hydrochloride as connective tissue conditioning actives, and methyl nicotinate (a vasodilatory warming agent). The gel provides a multilayer warming, skin-conditioning sensation when massaged in.

KorolevFarm Sustavit Double Comfrey Gel-Balsam is a warming body gel for joints and muscles, chosen when an area feels overworked, stiff after physical activity, or simply in need of a soothing massage. It is not a medicinal product: its role is topical skin conditioning and a pleasant warming effect that can help the area feel looser and easier to move after rubbing it in.
The central ingredient is double-concentration comfrey extract. Comfrey has a long tradition in European herbal use for topical applications, especially in balms for the back, knees, shoulders and other heavily used areas. Its naturally occurring compounds, including allantoin, mucilage and rosmarinic acid, are valued in cosmetics for their softening and calming effect on the skin. In this formula, comfrey is paired with marsh cinquefoil, thyme, valerian, boswellia, eucalyptus, St. John’s wort, goldenrod, burdock, rosehip and chamomile. Together, these plant extracts create a layered effect: some help the skin feel soothed, others add a fresher or warmer sensory note during massage.
What makes this gel-balsam more interesting than a simple herbal gel is the addition of chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine hydrochloride, two well-known ingredients often associated with connective tissue formulas, here used in a cosmetic topical format. The formula also contains methyl nicotinate, a warming agent that encourages a temporary feeling of heat and visible redness by increasing surface microcirculation in the skin. This is why the gel often feels particularly suitable before rest after exertion, after gardening, long walks, sports, or time spent in one fixed position.
The texture is designed for massage rather than instant disappearance. Worked into clean skin for a few minutes, it gives both glide and heat, making it a practical option for people who like a hands-on approach instead of a plain cream. This kind of product is usually kept at home for the lower back, neck, shoulders, elbows, knees or calves after periods of strain or during colder weather when muscles tend to feel tighter.
Because this cosmetic contains comfrey and a warming active, use it thoughtfully. Do not apply to broken or irritated skin, and avoid the eye area. A temporary flush or heat sensation can occur after application. Comfrey is not meant for prolonged repeated use on the same area, so it is best suited to short courses rather than continuous use. If your skin is very sensitive, or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or using it for a child, it is sensible to ask a healthcare professional before use.
