Viper Venom with Comfrey and Marsh Cinquefoil Gel-Balsam is a cosmetic body gel-balsam from the KorolevFarm range, combining Gyurza viper (Macrovipera lebetina) venom extract with comfrey (Symphytum officinale) aqueous extract and marsh cinquefoil (Comarum palustre) extract in a cosmetic gel base. The Gyurza viper venom extract provides an intense locally warming, counter-irritant sensory effect on the skin. Comfrey root and leaf extract is valued in topical cosmetics for its allantoin, polysaccharide and rosmarinic acid content, which contribute to skin-conditioning and soft-tissue care properties. Marsh cinquefoil (comarum) is a Rosaceae-family wetland plant of the temperate Northern hemisphere, used in traditional Eastern European topical botanical preparations. The gel formula provides multi-active warming and botanical skin conditioning during massage application over joint and spinal areas.

Contains Gyurza viper venom extract (allergy risk) and comfrey (pyrrolizidine alkaloids).

Customer Questions
What does viper venom extract actually do in this gel — is it a medicine?
No, it is not a medicine, and the gel-balsam is a cosmetic product, not a medicinal one. In this formula, Gyurza viper venom extract is used for its pronounced local warming and counter-irritant effect on the skin. In practical terms, that means it creates an intense heat sensation where you apply it, which shifts attention away from tired, overworked areas and makes self-massage feel deeper. This is a well-established approach in topical body products: a counter-irritant stimulates the skin's own sensory response rather than acting inside the body. The sensation is the point — people who choose this type of gel usually want a noticeably strong warming feel, not a subtle one.The venom extract works alongside two botanical ingredients. Comfrey extract contributes allantoin, polysaccharides and rosmarinic acid, compounds valued for skin conditioning, which helps the gel remain comfortable for repeated application. Marsh cinquefoil (comarum) has a long history in Eastern European herbal rubs applied to the body after exertion and adds another botanical layer to the warming base.Because the product works through skin sensation and massage, it is honest to set expectations accordingly: it is intended for surface comfort and a warming self-massage ritual, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you have a joint or back concern that worries you, that is a question for a doctor, not for a cosmetic gel.
How should I apply the gel for massage, and how strong is the warming sensation?
The texture is built specifically for massage: it spreads easily, gives slip for several minutes, and then absorbs without leaving the heavy, greasy film typical of ointments. A practical routine looks like this:Start with a small amount — roughly a coin-sized dose for one zone such as a knee, shoulder or the lower back. With warming products it is easier to add more than to deal with too much heat.Massage it in with slow, moderate-pressure strokes for a few minutes while the gel still provides slip.Wash your hands thoroughly afterwards, so you don't accidentally transfer the warming ingredients to your face or eyes later.Expect the warmth to build gradually over several minutes rather than instantly, and to be noticeably intense — this gel is chosen precisely by people who want a strong warming sensation, so if you prefer very mild products, begin with an even smaller amount. Warmth on freshly showered or exercised skin often feels stronger, so factor that in the first few times.Typical moments people reach for it: after workouts or physical work, after long hours at a desk, after travel, or in cold seasons when the neck, shoulders and back feel stiff and less mobile. It suits adults as part of an at-home self-massage ritual. Avoid covering the treated area with tight airtight wraps unless you already know how your skin tolerates the product — trapped heat intensifies the sensation considerably.
What precautions should I take, and can I use it every day long-term?
A few precautions genuinely matter with this particular formula:Patch test first. Because the gel contains viper venom extract, apply a small amount to a limited area (for example, the inner forearm) and wait 24 hours before regular use. Skip this product entirely if you know you react to snake venom ingredients.Intact skin only. Never apply it over cuts, scrapes, irritated or otherwise damaged skin — warming ingredients on broken skin can cause significant discomfort.Keep it away from the eyes. If contact happens, rinse with plenty of water; do not rub.Limit continuous use on one spot. Comfrey-containing topical products are generally recommended for limited periods on the same area rather than uninterrupted daily use for months. A sensible pattern is to use the gel in shorter courses — for example, during a period of heavy activity or a cold spell — and then give that zone a break.Between uses, keep the tube closed at room temperature away from direct sunlight, and store it out of reach of children — a strongly warming gel is unpleasant if a child gets it on their skin or hands. Consult a specialist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a chronic condition or take medication.

What it is

KorolevFarm Viper Venom + Comfrey + Marsh Cinquefoil Gel-Balsam is a warming cosmetic body gel for massage over joints, the back and areas that feel stiff after physical effort, long hours at a desk or cold weather. People usually choose this type of gel when they want a strong warming sensation on the skin together with herbal ingredients traditionally used in topical products for muscles and movement-related ease.

Key ingredients

  • Gyurza viper venom extract — in cosmetics, it is valued not as a medicine, but for its pronounced local warming and counter-irritant effect. In simple terms, it creates an intense skin sensation that shifts attention away from tired, overworked areas and makes massage feel deeper and more effective.
  • Comfrey extract — a well-known botanical ingredient rich in allantoin, polysaccharides and rosmarinic acid. These compounds are appreciated in topical formulas because they help condition the skin and make the gel feel more suitable for repeated application during a course.
  • Marsh cinquefoil — also known as comarum, it has a long history in Eastern European herbal use for rubs and balms applied to the body after exertion. In this formula, it adds another botanical dimension to the warming gel base.

Texture and when people use it

The texture is designed for massage: it spreads easily, gives slip for several minutes, then absorbs without the heavy feel of an ointment. That makes it practical for knees, shoulders, lower back or the neck area after activity, travel or prolonged sitting. This gel-balsam suits adults who enjoy warming topical products as part of a self-massage ritual at home, especially in seasons when the body tends to feel tense and less mobile.

Important notes

It is not a medicinal product, and it is not meant for damaged skin.

  • Because it contains viper venom extract, a patch test before first use is especially important.
  • Avoid if you know you react to snake venom ingredients.
  • Keep away from eyes.
  • Use comfrey-containing products only for limited periods on the same area.
