The product contains eucalyptus, spruce and rosemary essential oils, as well as cyclamen extract and propolis — ingredients with a pronounced local action. Children's nasal mucosa is thinner and more sensitive than adults', so the reaction to such ingredients may be more intense.
Water-based sprays — isotonic or hypertonic solutions — moisturise and cleanse the mucous membrane well, but their effect is relatively short-lived: the liquid is quickly absorbed or runs off. An oil base behaves differently: it does not mix with water and stays on the surface of the mucosa longer, forming a thin softening layer.
Among the ingredients there are several groups that cause unwanted reactions in sensitive people more often than others.
