FARMGRUPP Peppermint Leaves consist of dried leaves of the peppermint plant (Mentha piperita L.), one of the most widely cultivated and consumed aromatic medicinal herbs in the world and a staple of European herbal tea tradition. Peppermint is a natural hybrid of watermint (Mentha aquatica) and spearmint (Mentha spicata), and its distinctive aromatic character is primarily determined by the exceptionally high menthol content of its essential oil fraction (up to 50–55% of total volatile oil composition), alongside menthone, menthyl acetate, 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol), isomenthol, and limonene.
The dried leaves are an excellent and highly aromatic source of menthol and peppermint essential oil compounds. The herbal infusion brews to a characteristically bright, clear, pale golden-green colour with an intensely fresh, strongly minty, sweet-cool aroma dominated by menthol. The flavour is powerfully refreshing, slightly astringent, and pleasantly cooling, with a long-lasting mint sensation on the palate. Peppermint leaf tea is one of the most consumed herbal beverages worldwide and is widely used as an everyday digestive and refreshing beverage. The 50 g pack provides a generous supply for regular home use.

FARMGRUPP Piparmündilehed 50 g by Farm Group is a dried peppermint leaf herbal tea made from Mentha piperita. People usually choose peppermint when they want a fresh, cooling infusion after meals or simply prefer a clear, aromatic herbal drink instead of regular tea. Peppermint has a long place in European herbal tea tradition, valued both for its bright taste and for the light, refreshing feel it leaves in the mouth.
What makes peppermint interesting is its naturally occurring essential oil fraction, especially menthol. Menthol creates the characteristic cooling sensation by interacting with cold-sensitive receptors in the mouth and throat, which is why peppermint tea feels so crisp even when served hot. The leaves also contain several aromatic compounds:
Together, these compounds shape the familiar mint aroma and the slightly sweet, clean aftertaste. In plain terms, this is not just “mint flavour” — it is a plant rich in volatile aromatic substances that give the infusion its fresh profile.
This kind of herbal tea is often chosen as a light drink in situations such as:
Dried leaf form is also important: it gives a fuller herbal infusion than flavourings alone, with the rounded, slightly astringent character typical of real peppermint leaves. It can be enjoyed hot for a warming-yet-cool sensation, or chilled as a refreshing summer drink.
Peppermint is generally well suited for adults as part of a balanced diet, but it is best used thoughtfully:
