Fresh garlic contains alliin and allicin, sulfur-containing compounds that account for the interest in this plant in the context of nutrition for the heart, blood vessels and immune function. However, the amount of these substances in an ordinary clove varies depending on the variety, storage conditions and cooking method: heat treatment partly destroys allicin.
Although garlic is a familiar food with a long history of use, its concentrated extract acts differently from the small amount found in a dish.
According to the label, take 1 capsule a day, preferably with a meal, swallowing it whole with water; do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
