Product description
NORDEN NATUR Koirohi rohi 40 g is a single-herb wormwood tea made from Artemisia absinthium. People usually choose wormwood when they want a traditional bitter herbal drink, especially as part of mealtime habits.
Bitter profile and normal digestive response
In herbal use, bitter plants are valued for the sharp taste that stimulates taste receptors on the tongue and signals the body to release digestive juices.
That bitter profile is the main feature of wormwood. When the tongue detects bitterness, it can trigger saliva, stomach acid and bile flow as part of the body’s normal digestive response.
- stimulates saliva flow
- stimulates stomach acid secretion
- stimulates bile flow
This is why bitter herbs have long been used before or around meals, particularly when food feels heavy or appetite seems low. The taste is strong and characteristic, so this is not a mild floral tea but a classic herbal infusion with a distinctly intense character.
Composition, suitability and precautions
The composition here is very simple: 100% wormwood herb, with no blended plants to soften the flavour. For people who prefer straightforward herbal teas, this makes the product easy to understand and easy to fit into a herbal tea selection at home. Wormwood has a long history in European herbal tradition, where it has been used in teas and bitter preparations for centuries.
This NORDEN NATUR herbal tea may suit adults who enjoy traditional bitter herbs, those who like keeping classic single-ingredient infusions in the kitchen, or those looking for a warming cup after meals.
- Adults who enjoy traditional bitter herbs
- Fans of classic single‑ingredient infusions
- Those seeking a warming cup after meals
Because wormwood is naturally very bitter and not suitable for everyone, it is best used thoughtfully. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a sensitive stomach, or plan to use bitter herbs regularly, it is wise to check first with a qualified health professional.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Sensitive stomach
- Regular use of bitter herbs

Customer Questions
Norden Natur wormwood is a 100% herbal tea made from Artemisia absinthium with a pronounced bitter taste, and it is the bitterness that determines how it is taken. Bitter substances stimulate the taste receptors, through which the body receives a signal to prepare more actively for digesting food, so the infusion is more often used before meals, when support for the appetite or for getting digestion ready is needed.
Artemisia absinthium has no sweetness and no ‘vitamin’ focus: its action is based on active plant bitters. The key components that determine the bitter taste and functional properties are bitter sesquiterpene lactones, which create the characteristic profile of wormwood as a bitter herb.
