Himalayan Pink Salt 350g from Volshebnoe Derevo (Magic Tree, Russia) is a 100% natural, unrefined Himalayan rock salt in coarse-crystal form, mined from the Khewra salt deposits of the Punjab region of Pakistan — one of the world's oldest, richest and most extensive rock salt deposits, formed over 500 million years ago from the evaporation of ancient sea beds. The characteristic soft rose-pink colour of Himalayan pink salt is due to its naturally occurring trace mineral content: iron oxides impart the pink-to-red hues, while over 80 additional mineral trace elements (including calcium, magnesium, potassium, sulphur, zinc and others) contribute to the salt's distinctive, rounded, mild and slightly sweet flavour. The salt is unrefined and non-bleached — it is in its natural state.
