Must Draakon Black Dragon Green Tea with Ginger is a loose-leaf green tea blend for people who enjoy a fresh cup with a gentle warming edge. It combines Chinese green tea from Hunan province with pieces of dried ginger root, giving the infusion a light golden-green colour, grassy tea notes and a mild spicy finish. This kind of blend is often chosen as a morning drink, or when you want something lighter than black tea but more lively than plain green tea.
The character of the tea comes from two well-known plant ingredients. Green tea leaves from Camellia sinensis naturally contain caffeine together with polyphenols, especially catechins. In simple terms, caffeine gives a more alert, clear-headed feeling, while catechins are the plant compounds green tea is valued for. Hunan green tea is appreciated for a fresher taste and softer astringency, so the cup feels cleaner and less sharp. Ginger root adds its naturally occurring gingerols and shogaols, which are responsible for its warming aroma and lightly pungent taste.
What makes this blend pleasant is the balance of the loose-leaf format and the ingredient pairing. Loose tea leaves usually open better during brewing than tea dust in bags, which helps the flavour develop with more nuance. Ginger does not overpower the tea here; instead, it adds brightness and warmth to the green base. As a result, the drink suits different moments: with breakfast, during a work break, on a cool afternoon, or after a heavier meal when you want a clean, spicy cup rather than something sweet.
Green tea and ginger both have a long tradition of use in many food cultures. Together they create a classic combination: green tea for its fresh, vegetal profile and ginger for its warming, aromatic kick. If you are new to green tea, this can be an approachable option because the ginger softens the grassy side and makes the flavour feel rounder.
As with other green tea drinks, it contains caffeine, so it may not suit late evening or people who are particularly sensitive to stimulants. If you prefer a smoother cup, avoid boiling water, as excessive heat can make green tea taste bitter.
