Linseed (flaxseed) flour is naturally rich in dietary fibre and plant-based omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Alpha-linolenic acid contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels; the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 2 g of ALA. The pleasant warm kissel drink is prepared in seconds by stirring the powder into hot water and has a naturally fruity-sweet fig flavour.
