Obraz Zhizni Freeze-Dried Sesame Seeds are sprouted sesame seeds (Sesamum indicum) preserved by freeze-drying (lyophilisation) — a gentle cryogenic drying process in which the product is first deep-frozen, then the ice is sublimated under vacuum without heat. This removes only the water while fully preserving the seeds' natural phytochemical profile, flavour and structure. Sprouting activates enzymes that increase nutrient bioavailability compared to unsprouted sesame seeds.
Sesame is one of the richest plant-based sources of calcium available, with a calcium content of approximately 1000 mg per 100 g — one of the highest among all foods. It is also rich in high-quality plant protein, healthy polyunsaturated fats (linoleic and oleic acids), sesamin (a lignan antioxidant), and natural vitamin E. Freeze-dried sesame seeds retain a crisp texture and do not become soggy in food, making them excellent for breading, baking, granola bars or adding to salads and porridge as a nutritional and textural topping.

Obraz Zhizni Freeze-Dried Sesame Seeds are sprouted sesame seeds preserved by freeze-drying, a low-temperature method that removes water without heating the product. People usually choose this kind of superfood seed when they want an easy way to enrich meals with minerals, plant protein and healthy fats, while also adding a pleasant crunch. Because the seeds are already sprouted and dried, they are ready to use straight from the pack in salads, porridge, baking mixes or as a simple snack.
Sesame is especially valued for its naturally high calcium content, making it one of the richest plant-based calcium foods. Calcium is best known for its role in bones and teeth, but it is also involved in muscle contraction and nerve signalling. These seeds also provide protein for a more nourishing meal and unsaturated fats such as linoleic and oleic acids, which are common in balanced diets. Another notable compound in sesame is sesamin, a lignan antioxidant. Antioxidants help protect the seed’s own fats from oxidation and are one reason sesame has long been appreciated in traditional cuisines.
The sprouted form is worth noting. During sprouting, the seed begins its natural growth process, activating enzymes and changing the structure of stored nutrients. In practical terms, this can make the seed easier for the body to use compared with unsprouted sesame. Freeze-drying then helps preserve the original flavour, texture and phytochemical profile with minimal damage from heat. That is why these sesame seeds stay crisp instead of turning soft too quickly in food, which makes them convenient for breading, homemade bars, granola, soups or open sandwiches.
This product suits people who want more texture and nutritional value in simple meals without complicated preparation. It can fit into breakfast, lunch or baking, especially when you want a seed topping that does not need soaking or cooking first. If you are increasing your intake of seeds and fibre, do so gradually and drink enough water. As sesame is a known allergen, this product is not suitable for those with sesame allergy.
