What This Cream-Balm Is
FBT OKASPUUVAIK kehakreem-palsam 75 ml by Fito Bio Technology is a body cream-balm designed for dry, rough or stressed skin that needs both moisture and a protective layer. The texture sits between a cream and a balm: it softens the surface while helping reduce moisture loss.
Key Ingredients
- Fir resin — forms a light film on the skin and helps shield weakened areas from external stress.
- Propolis extract — a bee-derived ingredient valued in cosmetic products for its soothing and skin-conditioning properties.
- Sea buckthorn oil — adds fatty acids and carotenoids, which help nourish the skin barrier and improve suppleness.
Together, these components work as an emollient and protective combination rather than as a harsh active treatment.
When People Choose It
This cream-balm is a good fit when:
- The skin feels tight, looks flaky, or reacts to wind, cold air or frequent washing.
- Small areas such as hands, elbows, knees or other patches exposed to friction and weather need extra care.
- You want additional moisture retention during colder months or after outdoor activities.
Important Notes
Although fir resin and propolis are traditional ingredients, they can be quite active for sensitive skin. Keep the following in mind:
- If you are prone to reactions to bee products, resins or strongly aromatic plant ingredients, test the cream-balm on a small area first.
- For external use only.
- Avoid applying to the eye area or clearly irritated skin unless you know your skin tolerates it well.

Customer Questions
This product is formulated as a cream-balm, which means its texture sits between a standard lotion and a thick ointment. A regular body lotion is typically lighter and absorbs quickly to deliver hydration, whereas a cream-balm like this one is designed to soften the skin surface while also forming a light, protective film. This helps reduce moisture loss from the skin, making it a suitable choice for areas that are persistently dry, rough, or exposed to environmental stress like wind and cold air. The key ingredients contribute to this dual action: fir resin forms the protective layer, sea buckthorn oil provides nourishing fatty acids to support the skin barrier, and propolis extract adds soothing properties. It's a more substantial product intended for targeted care of small, stressed areas like elbows, knees, and hands rather than for full-body application after a shower.
Because this cream-balm contains ingredients like fir resin and propolis extract, which can be quite active for some individuals, conducting a patch test is a prudent first step. Apply a small amount, about the size of a pea, to a discreet area of skin that is clean and dry, such as the inside of your forearm or behind your ear. Do not wash the area for at least 24 hours. During this time, monitor for any signs of a reaction, which may include redness, itching, a burning sensation, or the appearance of small bumps. If no reaction occurs after 24 hours, you can consider the product likely tolerable for you. It is advisable to avoid applying it to skin that is already visibly irritated, broken, or to the delicate eye area unless you are certain of your tolerance. If you have a known allergy to bee products or tree resins, extra caution is warranted, and you may wish to consult a dermatologist before use. This product is for external use only.
For optimal results, use the cream-balm when your skin feels tight, looks flaky, or needs protection from external factors. A good time to apply is after washing and gently patting your skin dry, as damp skin can help lock in moisture. Take a small amount—a little goes a long way due to the balm-like consistency—and warm it between your fingertips before massaging it into the specific areas that need care, such as dry patches on your hands, rough elbows, or knees exposed to friction. You can also use it proactively before outdoor activities in cold or windy weather to help shield your skin. It's not necessary to use it all over your body; focus on the localized areas of concern. For daily maintenance during colder months, once or twice daily application may be sufficient. Since it forms a light protective layer, allow a minute or two for it to fully absorb before putting on clothing. Consistent use over time, as part of your skin care routine, helps maintain the skin's condition.
This product is formulated and marketed as a body cream-balm. While not explicitly prohibited, it is generally not recommended for use on the face. Facial skin is typically more delicate and sensitive than the skin on your elbows, knees, or hands, which this product is intended for. The ingredients, particularly fir resin and propolis, are quite active and could potentially lead to irritation, clogged pores, or reactions on the more reactive facial area. The product information specifically advises avoiding the eye area. If you are considering using it on your face due to having particularly resilient skin, it is crucial to perform an extensive patch test first on a small area of your jawline or cheek, monitoring for 48 hours for any adverse effects. However, for most individuals, it is safer and more effective to use products specifically designed for facial skin care that match your skin type and concerns.
